Welcome to Nutri View - Calories ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Nutri View - Calories (the "Application"). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

We collect information that is essential for the operation and security of the Application. The types of information we collect include:

Information You Provide to Us

• Email Address: We collect your email address when you sign in with your Google account.
• Photos: We collect the photos of food that you voluntarily upload for nutritional analysis.

Information Collected Automatically

• User Identifier: We automatically assign a unique User ID to your account through Firebase Authentication to manage your profile and data.
• Usage and Analytics Data: We collect data related to your interactions with the Application, such as the number of analyses you perform and your last login time.
• Device and Other Identifiers: We use Firebase App Check, which collects a token to verify the integrity of your device and application. This is a security feature to prevent abuse and is processed ephemerally (it is not stored).

Information from Third Parties

• Purchase Information: If you make a purchase (e.g., a subscription or a consumable), we process purchase information from the Google Play Store to validate the transaction and grant you the corresponding features. This includes purchase tokens and order details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Manage the Application (App Functionality): To create and manage your account, perform nutritional analysis on the photos you provide, and display your meal history.
- To Manage Your Account: To handle user sign-in, subscription status, and provide access to your data.
• For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect our services from abuse, bots, and fraudulent activity by verifying requests and validating purchases.
• For Analytics: To monitor application usage, track the performance of our features, and diagnose and fix technical issues to improve our service.
• To Communicate with You: We may use your email address to send you important information about your account, security updates, or significant changes to the Application or this Privacy Policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third-party advertisers.

We may share information with the following "Service Providers" who process data on our behalf and under our instructions to help us operate our Application:

• Google LLC: We use Google's services for our entire backend infrastructure, including:
  • Firebase (Google Cloud Platform): For user authentication, database (Firestore), file storage (Cloud Storage), and backend logic (Cloud Functions).
  • Google Vertex AI is used through Firebase AI Logic: To perform the nutritional analysis of the photos you upload.
  • Google Play: To process and validate your in-app purchases.

These service providers are bound by their own privacy policies and are not permitted to use your information for any purpose other than to provide the services we request.

5. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All backend requests are protected by Firebase App Check to ensure they originate from a genuine instance of our Application. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account at any time.

To delete your account and all associated data, please use the "Delete Account" option found in the menu within the Nutri View - Calories application. Following the in-app prompts will trigger the permanent deletion of your data from our systems.

In addition to full account deletion, you may request the deletion of specific personal data, such as your meal history or uploaded photos, without deleting your entire account. To make such a request, please contact us at viktordachev17b@gmail.com with a clear description of the data you wish to have deleted. We will process your request in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Effect of Account Deletion on In-App Purchases

When you delete your account, this action is irreversible. All your data, including any remaining consumable purchases (e.g., extra analyses) and active subscriptions, will be permanently lost.

• Subscriptions: While our system attempts to automatically cancel your active subscription to prevent future billing, we strongly recommend that you also manually verify the cancellation in your Google Play Store account settings to ensure no further charges occur. You will not receive a refund for the current billing period, and you will immediately lose access to all subscription features.
• Consumables: Any unused consumable purchases are non-refundable and will be permanently forfeited upon account deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for or directed to anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
